Rodlip

I build things end to end: scripts that run on thousands of work devices, and apps for the Mac and Windows that people actually click.

System engineer and computer science student, looking for a full-stack role.

Things I've built

Each project has a small sketch you can play with. They're built in the browser to show the idea, not the real apps.

Patability

Windows games don't run on Apple Silicon Macs. Patability is a Mac launcher that sets up a separate Windows environment, installs Steam inside it, and finds your games so you can press Play.

  • SwiftUI
  • macOS

Preview release. Source is private.

  1. Add a runtime
  2. Create an environment
  3. Install Steam
  4. Play

notes.txt

Drag the window to the top edge and drop it on a layout. Keyboard: focus it, then use the arrow keys.

GlassSnap

macOS has no snap layouts like Windows does. GlassSnap adds them: drag a window to the top of the screen, drop it into one of nine layouts, and switch windows with Option+Tab.

  • Swift
  • SwiftUI
  • AppKit
  • Accessibility API
Save as

Edit the name or flip the switch. The binary view is real bplist00, encoded in your browser.

Plip

Property lists are painful to read as raw XML and impossible as binary. Plip opens them as a tree you can filter and edit, then saves back to either format.

  • Swift
  • AppKit
  • GitHub Actions

LowerYourVoice

It's easy to get loud on a call without noticing. LowerYourVoice sits in the Windows tray, watches your microphone level, and if you stay too loud it pops up a warning and plays a shush.

  • C#
  • Windows
  • PowerShell
  • Inno Setup

About

I learned to code in C. Then I started working in IT, where most of my day became PowerShell and shell scripts that do the repetitive parts of managing a lot of machines.

Now I'm studying computer science (engineering honours) and building apps in my spare time, usually ones I want on my own computer. I'm looking for a full-stack role where I can take a feature from the server all the way to the screen.

At work

System engineer at an IT services company, 2024 to now

  • Wrote automation scripts used across thousands of devices, cutting manual configuration time by up to 80%.
  • Write NinjaOne scripts in Shell, C and JavaScript that hundreds of devices run every day, covering registry settings and Office apps.
  • Manage and configure VPN infrastructure for 20+ clients.
  • Diagnose system and network problems from the command line on Windows and Linux.
  • Look after Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenants, with tickets in ConnectWise.
